Barre is designed to give operators the opportunity to easily offer a premium group workout experience to its members
Billed as the modern interpretation of classical ballet, Barre capitalises on the trend for ballet-inspired training of recent years. The class offers a 30-minute muscle training session that uses traditional ballet techniques to tone and shape the muscles, without the use of a physical barre.
It is designed to give operators the opportunity to easily offer members a premium group workout experience.
"Without the barre for support, the body's strength and stability become the focus. It may look beautiful, but don't underestimate the burn," says Diana Archer Mills, creative director and programme creator.
"The authentic balletic purpose and movements target the glutes, thighs, cores and postural muscles, and participants see results very quickly," she adds.
The programme, which is currently available in 17 facilities globally , has recently launched into the UK and will be made available on the Les Mills Virtual programming platform from this month.
