Heating and environmental systems company Rotex has unveiled the Variocistern, a new rainwater storage tank for use both inside and outside buildings.
The Variocistern comes in a choice of 750 and 1000lt tanks that can also be combined to create a larger overall capacity.
The rainwater is pre-filtered by the Variocistern and can then be connected to toilets or wash basins, while also being clean enough to be used for other applications including the washing of clothes.
Once installed, Rotex claim that items that use conventional drinking water can cut water consumption by up to 50 per cent.
